8th District
Virginia's eighth Senatorial District is roughly the eastern half of the City of Virginia Beach. Extending in the north from the Lesner Bridge through the city and south to the courthouse area, then through Pungo to the Atlantic Ocean. Home to four military bases, the Virginia Beach oceanfront, the Lynnhaven River, portions of Pungo and the Back Bay, and First Landing State Park, the first place members of the Virginia Company landed before settling at Jamestown.
Parts of the Eighth Senatorial District are also represented in the General Assembly by Delegate Ron Villanueva (R- 21st), Delegate Barry Knight (R-81st), Delegate Bob Purkey (R-82nd), and Delegate Sal Iaquinto (R-84th).
